Joyce S. Page, 72, was called home, Thursday February 19, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1953, to the late William and Evelyn Stone. Joyce moved to Poquoson at the age of 18, where she began building the life and family that would mean everything to her. She lived with her brother and sister-in-law, and it was there that fate would step in. She met the love of her life, Danny and the two were married in January of 1973. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion and were blessed with two daughters who became the center of her world.
She was a devoted homemaker who took pride in caring for her family and creating a warm, loving home. Over the years, she also worked outside the home, spending several years at the Peninsula Eye Center before later dedicating 15 years of service to the residents of Dominion Village at Poquoson, from which she eventually retired.
She found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by her family, whom she loved deeply. She had a special love for old country music and whenever a favorite song came on. She was dancing. Her joyful spirit and sense of humor kept those around her laughing. She was truly the life of our party. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Stone and our beloved family dog, Rudy, who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her daughters, Renee Ferguson (Wayne) and Carrie Forrest (Robbie); grandchildren, Anthony Ferguson (Kaitlyn), Travis Holloway (Marissa), Kayla Newsome (Hunter), Jaclyn Ferguson, Elizabeth Tucker (Andy) Colton Crabtree (Dominique) and Casey Crabtree (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Noah and Eli Ferguson, Madison Moon, Delilah and Weston Newsome, Maia Holloway, Kaiden and Paisley Tucker, Carson and Caleb Crabtree, Brighton Crabtree and two great-grandbabies on the way; siblings, Jack Stone, Janice Stone, Judy Dofflemyer (Dwight) and Joann Stone as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to her sister-in-law, Bessie Lou Stone and her daughters, Shana Perry and Stacey Stone, whose loving hearts, devotion and constant support were such a blessing in her life. Their kindness brought her comfort and joy, and she loved them deeply. Their love for her will always be remembered and cherished by her family.
Her family asks that those wishing to honor her memory consider making a memorial donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26th at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. The burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.
