At the age of 19, Beverly joined the Women’s Army Corp. and was stationed at Fort Monroe, Virginia where she met a Bull Islander named Warren; fell in love and married in 1956. After caring for her mother-in-law, she attended nursing school, became an LPN and worked in long-term care facilities until she retired in 2002. Upon retirement, she continued to volunteer her time at her church and at various community outreaches. It was her personal relationship with Jesus Christ that motivated her to serve her family, friends, neighbors and community.
