Lauren Insley Obituary

Lauren Elizabeth Insley, was called home on March 8th of 2024, at the age of 25.

She is Native of Gloucester County VA, and a resident of Poquoson VA

Lauren's birthday is March 11th 1998. She had struggles with her health from day one and spent most of her childhood in and out of the hospital. Her disorder was a rare one and led to a lot of attention in her younger years. From local radio show hosts making hospital visits, to a CHKD telethon, and magazine articles.

In spite of all of those issues she enjoyed her childhood like any of us. She loved spending weekends with grandparents, swimming, and going to Busch Gardens. As she grew into adulthood she never let go of that childish fun. Like going to Busch Gardens, which evolved into a love of musicals, and their Halloween haunted houses. Which then led to a love of all things scary from movies to the makeup, she was very talented with sfx make up.

She never missed a concert and was a big fan of the vans warped tour, went just about every year, she loved music and singing. She was talented and she sang any chance she could get. From YouTube and social media, to karaoke, and the praise team at church. Two of her biggest long-term interests were Harry Potter and anything Tim Burton. She made many trips with family to the Wizarding World in Florida at Universal Studios. She loved Tim Burton's works so much we spent her 21st birthday in New York, getting her first drink at Beetle House. A Tim Burton theme restaurant, with Edward Scissorhands for company. All the time spent in the hospital also led to a love of all things medical. From hospital and ER based shows, to actually wanting to become a doctor. She landed on phlebotomy as her favorite and even asked for a vintage phlebotomy kit to play with for one of her birthdays. She was very proudly a cat lady. She brought home many a cat and kitten in her time, and still now has a few furry best friends she’s left behind. She spent the majority of her adulthood as a caregiver. To any and all of her loved ones, but primarily to her two little best friends Serenity and Bailee. Whose mother Leanne was one of Lauren's very best friends.
